The congregation of Scone new was created by the union of the Abbey and West Churches in 1952, the Abbey tracing its origins to the Disruption of 1843 and the West originating in 1748 and having historical associations with the Burghers of the Secession Church and the United Free Church. The ministers of Scone New Church: Rev. Alan O. Robertson 1953 - 1958. Rev C.A. Grant 1959 - 1961. Rev. J. Shirra 1962 - 1987. Rev. Alex M. Millar 1987 - 2001. Rev Robert Sloan 2002. In 1980, Scone New church linked with St. Martins Church. |
