St. Matthew’s is a busy church, a union of four congregations from the mid-sixties, with a gathered, diverse congregation. We encourage community use of our large suite of modernised halls and, consequently, several charities, drama, opera and music groups, uniformed organisations, yoga, country dance etc. use our facilities alongside ‘official’ church activities like crèche, junior church, teenage groups guild, etc. We support Traidcraft, with a weekly stall during Sunday coffee time; publish a monthly magazine, a yearly directory, and our office is open every weekday morning between 10-12 noon. All enquiries are very welcome.
During June - August there is a Family Service in Hall at 9:30am and then at 11.00 am there is Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary. Also on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 6.00 pm there is a Healing Service in the Sanctuary.
