The Rev Donna Hays is the Moderator of the Presbytery of Perth. Following a career in teaching, mainly in Angus, as well as 15 years as the Church Officer at Arbroath Old and Abbey Church, she was ordained and inducted into her first and only charge, Fowlis and Liff linked with Lundie and Muirhead in the legacy Presbytery of Dundee. She has also been Interim Moderator and Locum of Auchterhouse Parish Church for the last 19 months and is currently involved in bringing all three parishes together in a Union. Her main focus in her role as Moderator, is to meet with as many members of local congregations as possible across the Presbytery.

Presbytery Clerk

The Rev Dr John Ferguson is the Presbytery Clerk. John was educated at Glasgow University and his first charge was in Kirkcaldy, followed by a 23 year period as parish minister at Peterculter in Aberdeen. John was also the part time Clerk for Aberdeen Presbytery and then Aberdeen and Shetland Presbytery. He is married with two grown up sons.

Presbytery Treasurer and Congregational Support Officer

 

Rhona Nicol is the Presbytery Treasurer. A qualified accountant of some 30+ yrs, working in a range of companies from small privately owned to multinational corporations, Rhona is a forward thinker, always looking for better ways to work and ease the workload. Rhona is an active member of Lowson Memorial Church, Forfar where she is an elder, office administrator, minibus driver and committee member. She is currently in a handover process to become congregational treasurer by the end of 2023.

Depute Clerk and Administrator

Edward (Ed) Morton is the Presbytery Administrator. Prior to that, he served as Depute Clerk to the legacy Presbytery of Stirling. Ed is an active member of St Ninians Old Parish Church in Stirling where he serves as Congregational Treasurer.

Buildings Officer

Jamie Mcnamara is the Buildings Officer. He has a wealth of experience in the building industry and is a conservation surveyor and heritage specialist.

Ruth Rankin is the Presbytery Communications officer. She comes from an arts education background and is an active member of Perth Riverside Church.
